Born near Montreal, Canada, Marly has been passionate about music, singing and dancing since high school. She began her career as the opening act at the Festival Franco-Québécois in St-Malo, France, and continued her musical education with voice training in both classical and popular styles, songwriting and music business management.

Winner of the prestigious Star Search in Canada, Marly performed throughout Quebec in major hotels and lounges before receiving an offer to host the French television show Franco-Flash Jet Set in Miami in 2000.

In this sunny part of the United States, Marly’s vocal talent quickly gained recognition. She was invited to perform at numerous high-profile events, including the halftime show at Miami’s Orange Bowl Stadium, which seats 85,000 spectators. She also appeared in several 1,200-seat senior community theaters and most of South Florida’s premier casinos, such as Coconut Creek Casino, Hard Rock Hollywood, Mardi Gras Casino, Gulfstream, and Immokalee Casino.

From 2005 to 2015, audiences enjoyed her rich and powerful voice in cruise-ship theaters across Europe, the Caribbean, and the Hawaiian Islands.

Back on land and still guided by her love of music, Marly recorded a bilingual album of Latin rhythms titled Marly Johnson… Armée d’amour (Armed with Love), featuring original songs in both French and English.

Now based in the beautiful city of Naples, Florida, about two hours from the ports of Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa, Marly returns to the high seas as a cruise-ship headliner with two inspiring new shows:

Love Is Your Key, an uplifting journey through rhythm, love and connection, blending timeless favorites with touches of Latin energy.

Divas: A Tribute to the Women Who Moved Me… and Moved Us All!, a heartfelt celebration of legendary female artists whose voices shaped generations, from Tina Turner’s fire to Whitney Houston’s soul, Diana Ross’s grace, Barbra Streisand’s elegance and more.
